Melanie Savolainen is a core member of our customer support team and our resident photographer. Her calm, positive demeanor and talent for problem solving helps her assist Franchise Owners with service issues. In addition to helping with service issues, Melanie receives and processes supply orders for our Franchise Owners. Melanie is the voice behind OctoClean’s operations. She’s the first person to greet our callers and a fundamental part of our internal staff.
A little bit more about Melanie…
What is your name?
My name is Melanie and I like to go by “Melanie” or “Mel.”
What do you do?
My role at OctoClean is “Customer Support Representative.” During each day, I receive phone calls and email requests from customers that I relay to Franchise Owners and assist them in carrying out their response. I am also contacted by Franchise Owners for scheduling meetings and creating administrative documents for their accounts.
What do you do when you are not doing that?
I love relaxing with my husband while watching our favorite T.V. shows and playing with our new kitties (brothers) “Bill and Ted”. I also enjoy practicing and learning about photography/photo-editing.
My favorite food would have to be ice-cream cake.
Favorite city and why?
I would have to say that my favorite city is Seattle, WA. I made amazing memories in Seattle when it was included in a road trip that I took with my three brothers and now-husband. The soundtrack for our trip was “Hello Seattle” by OwlCity, and I still have flashbacks to our trip whenever I hear this song.
What did you want to be when you were in school?
In high school I decided that I wanted to be a performing singer-songwriter. It was appropriate since I attended a performing arts school at the time.
Tell us a secret about someone else from OctoClean.
I recently discovered that Glenn Brooks is related to one of the founders of Electronic Arts (EA)!
I work with…
Customers and Franchise Owners towards building a positive, trusting relationship by helping to clarify communication and identify mutually satisfying resolutions.
