Dialysis Center Cleaning
Renal patients have an increased risk of getting a Healthcare Acquired Infection (HAI) because the dialysis process requires the use of catheters or needles within patients who already have weakened immune systems. Microorganisms that can lead to MRSA, Hepatitis B and HIV can survive on ‘touch’ surfaces for extended periods of time. Therefore, any cleaning company you bring in to your dialysis center must be highly specialised to ensure that they comply with standard guidelines for infection control in healthcare environments, but in particular, the stringent guidelines for dialysis centres.
Your medical facility uses state-of-the-art equipment and you should expect your cleaning service to do the same! The OctoClean Program uses the most advanced disinfectant formulas on the market to eliminate dangerous bacteria and viruses from critical surfaces that come into contact with both patients and doctors.
Microorganisms that could cause disease or infection are known to survive on touch surfaces, such as bedrails, bed trays, call buttons, doorknobs and bathroom hardware, for extended periods of time. For this reason, you want to provide a clean and safe facility for anyone walking through your doors.

Everyone who enters the isolation or room must wear the appropriate PPE upon room entry. For Airborne Precautions, this means wearing the N-95 respirator until the patient is intubated and then after the patient is extubated. For Contact Precautions, wear gown and gloves upon room entry for the entire duration of the visit.
Dialysis is a way of cleaning your blood. It is a medical treatment for people with ESRD that does some of the work healthy kidneys would do, including removing waste, salt and extra water from your body, regulating your body’s fluid balance and helping to control your blood pressure
Examples of immediate patient treatment areas include operating and procedure rooms, anesthesia and procedure carts, and patient rooms or bays.
