Cleaning wasn’t Georgina Lomeli’s first choice of profession, but she makes her OctoClean franchise work for her.
She first heard about OctoClean from her sister who owned a franchise and she later decided to start a franchise of her own.
Prior to owning an OctoClean franchise, Georgina worked for 20 years as a group leader at Fleetwood RV. When they closed, Gina decided to stay home until she found OctoClean.
She promised herself that she would never work on a Saturday again so she could spend time with her family. Over the 10 years she has owned an OctoClean franchise she has kept that promise.
How has Georgina been able to do this?
- She creates and manages her service schedules.
- She only takes on as many accounts as she can handle on her own.
- She has developed long standing relationships with loyal customers.
Georgina has provided services to the same accounts for years, all because she takes the time to confirm they are happy. If there is a problem, she addresses it head on. These qualities are what make Georgina a successful franchise owner.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, cleaning professionals have been asked to perform additional cleaning and disinfection, but Georgina has always paid close attention to high touch surfaces. For Georgina, it is business as usual.
“People who aren’t working right now should give it a chance. It isn’t that scary,” said Georgina.
There are many reasons why someone would choose to start a cleaning franchise. As an OctoClean franchise owner, you have the freedom to customize your business. If you want to build a full-time operation with employees, you can. If you want to work part-time like Georgina, you can do that too.
“I’m not saying I love it, but it’s okay. It’s a way to make a living. I really like it, I enjoy being here,” said Georgina.
