“Be willing to be uncomfortable. Be comfortable being uncomfortable. It may get tough, but it’s a small price to pay for living a dream.”
-Peter McWilliams

It is unusual and uncomfortable to introduce myself to an audience that I cannot see. I am familiar and comfortable introducing myself to a physical audience. I can see their faces as I deliver a message and I can watch as they react to what I am saying. In most cases I can change what I am saying or even how I am saying it as I gauge an audience’s response to my message.

When I blog, the written word is my final word. There is no taking it back or adjusting to the audience’s reaction. My message is delivered! We all tend to stay in our comfort zone and I am no different. However, we are at times forced to be uncomfortable.

So here it goes! My name is Glenn Brooks and I am a Franchise Development Manager for OctoClean Franchising Inc.  We are based in Riverside,CA covering most of Southern California. I work with people who have started their quest to realize their dreams of being a successful business owner. They come to me when they are looking for guidance and inspiration to keep them focused on their goals.

When I am not coaching business owners at work, I am coaching soccer and football for my three children. When I coach, either in a business or personal setting, my goal is to understand and realize what the individual wants. I work with them to ensure that they accomplish their goals, be the very best that they can be and always keep in mind why they are doing it.

I enjoy life and I enjoy studying business and human behavior. I am currently studying at the University of Redlands and as I continue my path of education, I keep in mind why I do it.

My goal in writing to you will be to invoke thought in your everyday business and personal world. I want to challenge you to look at situations from multiple lenses, become uncomfortable and recognize that inside of you is a very strong desire to understand why you do the things that you do.

I look forward to meeting you even though it makes me a little uncomfortable!

You can also find me on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.  My email is gbrooks@octoclean2.local and I would love to hear from you if you have any questions.
